A year long series of free after school electronic music workshops lead by Rotherham artist Rian Treanor. Exploring computer patterns, electronic rhythms and unusual digital sounds.
To round up this years of projects the kids asked to orgaise a summer event, we invite friends and family to come and share what we've been making. With performances, dancing, party snacks, an award ceremony and the world premier of our music video.

Ione came on board as our in house photographer in July. In the sessions we were making decor and disco balls for the event in August.
DJ Lupini did a series of workshops summer 2024 to make a mix tape and DJ performance at Rotherham Show.
Lupini hosts her own show on NTS and she worked with the group to get them to think about stories in relation to music. Why did they choose the songs for their mix, what does it mean to them and are there things they might like to share when they play their songs.
DJ workshops in May 2024, and planning for an event the kids want to organise. Each week they have been suggesting ideas for the event, with performances, a music video premier, food and drinks for friends and family. And a 'rave for kids'.

The Modern Institue duo came to do a week long resiednecy in March 2024. We did a performance session at ROAR and then did a number of one to ones throughout the week to work with each particpant to make their own tracks for an upccoming mixtape and record.
This culminated in a big drop in performmance at Site Gallery in Sheffield that families particpated in throughout the day.

Over the summer Rian worked with DJ Riff Raph to help him do his first gig at Rotherham Show
The festival paid him enough money to buy a DJ controller that he's now using at home to make his own mix tapes. He played a track by his favourite artist Diamond Liyah, she shared a video on her social media biggin him up and said she is going to record an intro for him with a shout out for his DJ sets.
We also ran an Electronic Music Club gazeebo at Rotherham Show on the first weekend of September
